CHANEL BERGDORF GOODMAN LABEL WOOL JACKET

This exceptionally rare Chanel black wool jacket with peplum-like waist line and pockets resonates with the late Alexander McQueen and his exceptional theatrical pieces. During Coco Chanel’s lifetime some of her exceptional couture pieces were similar to this jacket including the ones she wore. The incredible black and gold “double C” buttons ( 7 on front and 3 on each sleeve) are very similar to some of the vintage jackets of the Chanel Haute Couture label which carries a ribbon-like black and white or white and black numbered label. Bergdorf Goodman has had some of the best buyers in the world and many of their Chanel pieces have been phenomenal-this is one of them.
